Erik is a real all round outdoor enthusiast with a great passion for mountain biking. After competing in the 2003 Land Rover G4 Challenge he decided to move to Verbier and is dedicated to share his passion for the region with mountain bikers in summer and skiers in winter. Numerous adventures by mountain bike took him all across Europe, Indian Himalaya and the USA which might lead to some inspiring stories at the diner table. Erik is responsible for the mountain bike operation and will be riding with guests most of his days. erik@sportstravelcompany.com

Felix Tanguay
Age: 33
Nationality: Canadian
Felix is famous in Verbier for his phenominal skiing and his love of downhill mounatain biking. Felix is a Canadian level 4 ski assessor; a qualified ski park coach and competes in Extreme Skiing competitions. Felix has a gift for bringing out the best in his clients and helping them find the confidence to ski and bike to new levels.

 

Karst Zijstra
Age: 43
Nationality: Dutch
Karst is a mountain bike journalist and every year explores many mountain biking destinations for various Dutch magazines. With his company MTB Clinic he combines his mountain biking experiences and his background as a physical education teacher to help mountain bikers improve their skills and confidence. The alpine terrain in and around Verbier is the ultimate training ground for technical riding where Karst runs a clinic week each summer for mountain bikers from Holland.

 

Ashley Rowe
Nationality: English
Age: 29
Ashley loves to talk and loves to cook. He can even do both at the same time. Ashley is our resident chef again this summer and has been based in Verbier for 4 years now doing what he loves. He chooses to snowboard in the winter and now jumps on the mountain bike with clients when he can.

Sam Pethebridge & Karin Zondervan
Age: 37 & 38
Nationality: Australian & Dutch
As founders of the Sports Travel Company they share a passion for sports and have based their business on providing accommodation and services in Verbier for skiers and bikers. Both have been living in Verbier for 10 years and now have two young children. Sam's role in the mountain biking holidays is mostly behind the scenes through sales, promotion and administration.
